Roxette has a knack for writing highly catchy and simple core hooks and melodies that ar sweet but not saccharine; it's radio-friendly drink down, simply the hooks don't assume thin with recurrent plays. The duette of guitarist Per Gessle and vocaliser Marie Fredriksson released an album in 1986 that didn't display much of their talents, only if the infectious followup, 1988's Look Sharp!, brought them to the top of the charts in America and England; 1991's Joyride was nigh every bit successful.
